Winners Announced in the First Annual Danielle Stento “How to Save a Life Contest”
BINGHAMTON, NY - Broome County STOP DWI coordinator Jim May and Broome County Traffic Safety Coordinator Christine Muss were joined by Danielle Stento and her family to announce the winners of the 1st Annual Danielle Stento “How to Save a Life Contest” at the Oakdale Mall. Following the conclusion of the highly successful Danielle 5K Run/Walk, the Danielle Stento “How to Save a Life Contest” was created to continue spreading this important message and honor Danielle Stento, who suffered a traumatic brain injury after being struck by a car driven by a drunk driver 1989.
The contest was designed to educate the community and local students about important traffic safety issues. Students were asked to create a poster, radio public service announcement or TV public service announcement on any of these 5 topics:
• Drowsy Driving • Safety Belt Use • Driving Distractions
• Impaired Driving (Alcohol/Drug Use) • Speed/Aggressive Driving
Prizes were awarded to the following winners of the 1st annual Danielle Stento “How to Save a Life Contest”:
